Abstract

This tutorial provides a practical introduction to Deep Learning-based Side-Channel Analysis (DLSCA), a powerful approach for evaluating the security of cryptographic implementations. Leveraging publicly available datasets and a Google Colab service, we guide readers through the fundamental steps of DLSCA, offering clear explanations and code snippets. We focus on the core DLSCA framework, providing references for more advanced techniques, and address the growing interest in this field driven by emerging standardization efforts like AIS 46. This tutorial is designed to be accessible to researchers, students, and practitioners seeking to learn practical DLSCA techniques and improve the security of cryptographic systems.
